Ekukhanyisweni Primary School in Alexandra and fifty learners from Kwabhekilanga Secondary including triplets girls from Iphutheng Primary, received pair of school shoes today, donated by Hwibidu Security Services.
Hwibidu Group managing director Walter Rachidi encouraged all companies to contribute to children’s education in the country, the company has donated a total of 106 pairs of shoes.
Gauteng Education district director general Vuyani Mpofu says the shoes will encourage learners to go to school as statistics show that learners from disadvantaged backgrounds become the most successful in life.
Amongst the beneficiaries was Rebecca Malete, the mother of triplets girls who visited ALEX FM last week, asking help for her kids whom she said they don’t have school uniform. (Edited by Kgadi Lamola)
