A new bold movement called, #NoExcuse was launched earlier this week in Johannesburg, the initiative will run during the annual 16 days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence.
This five year commitment sees supporters such as Carling Black Label and Takuwani Riime! working hard in driving positive change amongst South African men
#NoExcuse is A new journey to combating women abuse and the campaign aims to make sure that men mobilise in protection of women through driving awareness, creating conversations and providing tools for people to take positive action as means of driving change.
South African breweries has put a message across that the alcohol they produce cannot be used as an excuse for women abuse anymore.
Vice President Marketing of SAB and AB Inbev Africa, Andrea Quaye said Carling Black Label as the biggest beer brand in the country it is their responsibility to ensure alcohol is consumed responsibly, and to use the power of their brand to challenge South African men and their consumers to take action against abuse.
The creation of the #NoExcuse website is a platform of suggestions and information on how champion men can get involved and what they can do to stop violence in the families and communities.
