While the long weekend meant spending quality time with family at home, it was also a weekend of musical clash of social events. This past weekend, joburgers were unsure which event to attend as the 23rd of September of iRock clashed with a local Redbull clash music event, some Alexandrians packed their bags for the much anticipated 5th edition of the DStv iRock music festival in Limpopo this year the event was held at the Polokwane Cricket Club, a venue that’s bigger and equipped with world class facilities to accommodate over 18 000 iRock fans over Heritage weekend.
Speaking to Murphy Phala, a resident from 6th Avenue said, iRock is always marked as an important festival to attend in his calendar and this year’s edition just keeps getting better and although the host city is far, he always makes sure that he travels just to get the #ForeverRocking feeling.
The three days music fest featured headliners like Cassper Nyovest, Black Motion, Kwesta, CuloeDeSong and many more who delivered wonderful sets on the iRock dance floor. The festival will brought music lovers the best in South African Dance, House, Hip Hop, Afro POP and RnB. And aspiring musicians weree invited to be part of the line-up by entering the DStv iRock Battle for the Stage talent search.
The event proudly sponsored by DStv Standard Bank offered their guests amazing iRock music fest experience in Polokwane and were treated to the #ForeverRocking photo booth to capture all memories of the weekend.
