The case of Jonas Ramokgola aged 35, has been postponed to 22 January 2018 by the Alexandra Magistrate’s Court on Monday, for further investigations.
Ramokgola was charged with murder following the death of Mbopha Mashigo after he allegedly shot him to death on the eve of 2018.
He was arrested on Saturday in Alexandra by Alexandra police after they were alerted by a community member following the circulation of the suspect’s image on social media and local newspapers.
During Ramokgola’s court appearance in Court 1 at the Alexandra Magistrate’s Court, the courtroom was full to its capacity with family, friends and colleagues who wanted to have their first glimpse on the alleged assailant.
Emotions ran high and got worse on the hallway after the court was adjourned as most of the people couldn’t control their emotions.
