ALEX FM NOMINATED IN THE MKHMA AND THE MJA
Alexandra, Cnr 3rd & Watt Street August 7, 2018– It is our great pleasure to announce that Alex FM has been nominated in the Mzansi Kwaito & House Music Awards (MKHMA) and the Mzantsi Jazz Awards (MJA). The station has managed to secure two nominations in two different categories namely: Radio that plays kwaito and Best Kwaito Radio Personality. The personalities being Tshepo (host) and Nkiyase (co-host) of the midday cruise which airs weekdays from 12:00pm to 15:00pm. On the Mzantsi Jazz Awards the station is nominated under the category of the Best Radio Station Playing Jazz.
“The nomination means a lot, for the mere fact that I grew up listening and playing kwaito at my primary school era from 1997 till now. I am honored to be a part of this music genre till today.” says Tshepo Mosima Presenter of The Midday cruise.
The Mzantsi jazz awards will take place on the 11th of August 2018 at the World of Yamaha in Sandton, and the tickets are available on webtickets.co.za for purchase. Whereas the MKHMA’s will be handed out at a red-carpet award ceremony where all the winners will be honored and celebrated, during an evening of performances, networking and great company on the 24th of November 2018 at Sun Carnival City – Top Arena. It is a very significant achievement to see Alex FM’s work being recognized on such huge platforms.
