Eskom Foundation visits Reba chemicals

Eskom Development foundation recently visited 2017 Business investment competition winner Freddie Motau of Reba Chemicals in Kempton park. Freddie joined the team in 2005 and later bought the company in 2008.

The business’s aim is to to replace imported chemicals from Europe and the USA, So far they managed to create 19 permanent jobs as well as 10 learnerships. As a manufacturer of industrial chemicals, Some of its resume includes the manufacturing of water treatment chemicals for esteemed customers like RandWater and industrial chemicals for CureChem. The business also provides water treatment for AquaTrait and Automotive chemicals for Hankel.

Some of the key note speakers of the day were Tebogo Moloi founder of Oakantswe Construction. Winner of the 2017 BIC engineering and construction category.  Tshibvumo Shikhwivhilu co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Lamo Solar. Winner of the 2016 BIC Construction and Engineering category.

“Winning this competition was a life changing opportunity for us, Not only did I get to enhance my business skills , I got exposure and money to invest in marketing which made a huge difference in our turn over” said Freddie

The Business investment competition’s aim is to empower black businesses and create Job opportunities.
