The soulful restaurant situated e Last gate in Alex started in 2015. Owned by Mr Palai after he left civil engineering to venture into the most talked about food place in Alex.

His restaurant initially started in Soshanguve as an African cuisine restaurant, with learning more about food, Palai decided to learn more about cooking, mixing new sauces and creating new recipes which later resulted as what is known as the ‘hip’ place to get proper kasi food and enjoy a few drink with friends.

With many food places in Alexandra, Palai says although selling food was not an easy market to get into, he added that he faced challenges  of a sense of belonging since hes not originally from Alexandra. Introducing his different product and making it appealing to the public were some of the challenges he faced in the first few months of the business.

Moraleng Soulful has become a chilled spot to listen to relaxing soul music while you enjoy mouth watering dishes with secret recipes courtesy of the owner himself.
